Asbestos - Supervise Removal

This course enables participants to develop the skills and knowledge required to supervise the removal process for friable and non-friable asbestos containing materials (ACM), ensuring compliance with the asbestos removal control plan. This includes ensuring that required air monitoring and other testing and certification processes are conducted.

Participants will learn to:

Plan for asbestos removal
Prepare asbestos removal area and removal site
Supervise testing and compliance of the removal work
Supervise removal and decontamination processes
Supervise and support team members

Outcome:	A Statement of Attainment. Selected unit “Supervise asbestos removal” (CPCCBC4051A). A Skills Institute Competency Card.
Prerequisites:	You must have a White Card - selected unit “Work Safely in the Construction Industry” (CPCCOHS1001A). You must wear workshop clothing and safety shoes/boots. Disposable overalls & respirators provided.
Location:	At your work site or at the Clarence, Alanvale and South Burnie training facilities.
Cost:	$574 per person. (course prices for single employer groups are negotiable).
Duration:	2 days.
