Commission and Maintain Backflow Prevention Devices

Plumbers are charged with the responsibility of protecting the health and safety of the community through the installation and maintenance of safe and compliant drinking water systems, free from cross-connection contaminants.

This nationally recognised unit covers the skills and knowledge required to commission and maintain backflow prevention devices according to the manufacturer’s specifications and legislative requirements.

Participants will learn:

Outcome: A Statement of Attainment. Selected unit “Commission and Maintain Backflow Prevention Devices” (CPCPWT4002A). A Statement of Attendance.
Prerequisites: You must be a registered plumber holding water registration OR a contracted plumbing apprentice who has successfully completed all water stream units at a Certificate III level. Licensing requirements also apply.
Location: At your workplace or at the Hobart, Launceston, Devonport and Burnie training facilities.
