Fire Weather Observer: Understand the Signs

This course is designed to provide participants with basic knowledge and skills in fire weather observation and measurement. All training is underpinned by OH&S principles and legislative requirements.

Participants will learn:

Basic fire weather parameters through demonstration of measurement.
How to measure air temperature and relative humidity.
How to measure wind speed and direction.
To correctly complete daily logbooks.

Outcome:	A Statement of Attainment. Selected units "Observe and Report on Weather" (RTE2503A), "Monitor Weather Conditions" (RTE3506A).
Prerequisites:	You must wear outdoor personal protective equipment.
Location:	At the Hobart, Launceston and Burnie training facilities.
Cost:	$198 per person. Course prices for single employer groups are negotiable.
Duration:	Half day.
