Tree Felling Operations: Branch Out

Gain the essential skills and knowledge to fall trees safely. All training is underpinned by occupational health and safety principles and associated legislative requirements.

Participants will learn:

Outcome: A Statement of Attainment. Selected unit "Maintain Chainsaws" (FBICOT2237A), "Trim & Cut Felled Trees" (FPICOT2239A), "Fall Trees- Intermediate" (FPIFGM3204A).
Prerequisites: You must be 16 years of age or older. You must hold a current chainsaw licence. Some tree felling experience would be an advantage but is not essential. You must wear steel capped safety boots (lace-up), a safety helmet with hearing and eye protection. Plus a high visibility outer garment and cut resistant leg protection.
Location: Hobart, Launceston, Burnie and Queenstown.
Cost: $1215 per person plus TFITB licence fee if required. Course prices for single employer groups are negotiable.
Duration: Three days.
