Use Breathing Apparatus: Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA)

This training is designed for employees who are required to operate self contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) whilst working in confined spaces or in emergencies, such as retrieving persons from dangerous situations. This course covers the correct procedures to wear and use this equipment.

Participants will learn:

About the safe use, selection, operation and servicing of SCBA.
About the contents of the atmosphere.
About hazardous environments.
About SCBA components and pre-operational checks.
Safe working practices.
Search and rescue techniques.

Outcome:	A Statement of Attainment. Selected unit "Use Breathing Apparatus in the Workplace" (MSAPMOHS216A).
Prerequisites:	You must wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
Location:	At the Hobart, Launceston, Burnie and Devonport training facilities.
Cost:	$320 per person. Course prices for single employer groups are negotiable.
Duration:	One day.
