Asbestos Awareness

This program enables participants to develop the knowledge of what asbestos is, possible asbestos containing materials, as well as a basic understanding of the regulations for the safe removal and disposal of asbestos.

Participants will learn:

What is asbestos and where does it come from?
The potential health effects of asbestos.
Where asbestos containing materials (ACM) are commonly found.
Proper precautions and work practices when working around asbestos.
How to recognise asbestos hazards due to damage or deterioration.
Appropriate removal and disposal methods of ACM.
What OH&S regulations apply to workers who work with or work around asbestos and what aspects of those regulations affect you.

Location:	At our South Burnie, Devonport, Alanvale and Clarence training facilities
Cost:	$180 per person. (course prices for single employer groups are negotiable)
Duration:	4 hours.
