Firearm Licence Training: Safe Use of Firearms

This course will assist participants to meet the requirements for a firearm licence in Tasmania. These training requirements are consistent with the minimum national standards for the granting of firearm licences Australia wide.

Participants will learn:

To fire rifles and shotguns under supervision, on a police approved firing range.
Via attending presentations and demonstrations on using firearms safely and understanding firearms.
Practical skills and theoretical knowledge which will be assessed during the course.

Cost: Varies according to the category of firearms licence approved by Tasmania Police. Basic Law and Safety (must be completed for all licence categories): $135
Category A/B/H1: $135
Category C or D: $140
