Outcome

Statement of Attainment for “CPCCLRG3001A Licence to perform rigging (basic level)” and an Interim Licence to Perform High Risk Work (Rigging Basic).

Prerequisites

Particpants must have completed CPCCLDG3001A Licence to perform dogging, be from 18 years of age, comply with the requirements outlined in the application for high risk work (GF083) published by Workplace Standards Tasmania and have a satisfactory level of literacy and numeracy. Protective work wear must be worn for the practical assessment (safety boots, gloves and helmet).

Cost

$2,350 per person (course prices for single employer groups are negotiable). This does not include the licence fee payable upon successful completion at Service Tasmania.

The purpose of this course is to provide the underpinning knowledge and skills to perform Rigging (Basic) safely.  Successful participants are able to apply for a National High Risk Work Licence (Rigging Basic) as issued by Workplace Standards Tasmania under the Work Health and Safety Act 2012. 

Participants will learn:

  • To plan and prepare work
  • About movement of plant and equipment
  • About steel erection
  • To operate particular hoists (cantilevered platform hoist – 500kg max materials only)
  • About placement of pre-cast concrete
  • About safety nets and static lines
  • Materials hoist
  • About perimeter safety screens and shutters
  • About cantilevered crane loading platforms
