You can decide what suits your currentworkplace situation, and education and training needs.

Is this the qualification for me?

You should enrol in Certificate IV in Training and Assessment if you:

  • want to gain a full training and assessment qualification and can apply it in your workplace
  • are involved in workplace assessment and want to complete the assessment units
  • are involved in training delivery and want to complete the design and delivery units
  • have completed some units of the TAE40110 and now want to complete the full qualification 

Course Includes

This qualification consists of 10 units. There are 7 core units and 3 elective units.

Core Units (compulsary)

  • Plan assessment activities and processes (TAEASS401B)
  • Assess competence (TAEASS402B)
  • Participate in assessment validation (TAEASS403B)
  • Plan, organise and deliver group based learning (TAEDEL401A)
  • Plan, organise and facilitate learning in the workplace (TAEDEL402A)
  • Design and develop learning programs (TAEDES401A)
  • Use training packages and accredited courses to meet client needs (TAEDES402A)

Elective Units

  • Make a presentation (BSBCMN401A)
  • Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills (TAELLN401A)
  • Contribute to assessment (TAEASS301B)
  • Provide work skills instruction (TAEDEL301A)    

Skill Sets: This option offers the benefits of the full qualification and is customised to individual needs or industry outcomes.  Participants will receive a Statement of Attainment.

Important to note: The LLN unit (TAELLN401A)   will become a compulsory unit of the TAE40110 for all new and existing VET Practitioners to undertake from 2014.
