8 hours (2 x 4 hour sessions).

HOBART:  Evening Sessions: Monday & Tuesday,  5.30pm – 9.30pm.  3 & 4 June, 1 & 2 July, 5 & 6 August, 2 & 3 September, 30 September & 1 October, 4 & 5 November and 2 & 3 December 2013.

 NORTH: Evening Sessions: Monday & Tuesday 5.30pm – 9.30pm.  29 & 30 July, 25 & 26 November 2013. 

NORTH WEST: Day Sessions: 10.00am – 3.00pm. Wednesday 10 July and Tuesday 3 December. 

Courses will run subject to reaching minimum class numbers.

Bar Essentials is a 8 hour 'hands on' course offering a unique, interactive and fun insight into the skills and knowledge required to undertake basic bar duties in a variety of establishments.

Participants will learn:

  • Drink making methods (including cocktails).
  • Liquor familiarisation including beer and learning the art of beer pouring.
  • About bar utensils, glassware and drink presentation.
  • Customer service skills and order processing.
