Prerequisites

You must wear personal protective equipment including steel capped safety boots (lace-up) and full face safety helmet with hearing and eye protection. Plus high visibility outer garment.

Location

At the Hobart, Launceston and Burnie training facilities.

Gain knowledge and skills in using brushcutters and maximise the time you spend at work. We will show you how to understand your machine better and gain the maintenance skills needed to keep your brushcutter running at its very best. There is a focus on safety.

Participants will learn:

  • About brushcutter components, their ancillary equipment and functions.
  • Successful maintenance, storage and transporting procedures.
  • About brushcutter aids and equipment, their safe preparation and using effectively.
  • To identify and demonstrate safety requirements for brushcutter operations as well as safe and effective work practices that meet legislative and all other relevant requirements.
