This course is designed to assist employers and employees in understanding the characteristics, hazards and legislative requirements needed to operate safely at heights.

Participants will learn:

  • To inspect and use different types of fall prevention equipment.
  • To perform risk assessment and make work method statements.
  • About personal protective equipment (PPE and PFPE).
  • About the roles and responsibilities of key personnel.
  • About the Code of Practice, OH&S legislation (WHS Act 1995 and WHS Regulations 1998) AS/NZ standards and associated terminology as per Australian Standard 1891.1:2007.
