Prerequisites

You must be a registered plumber holding water registration OR a contracted plumbing apprentice who has successfully completed all water stream units at a Certificate III level. Licensing requirements also apply.

At your workplace or at the Hobart, Launceston, Devonport and Burnie training facilities.

This nationally recognised unit covers the skills and knowledge required to commission and maintain backflow prevention devices according to the manufacturer’s specifications and legislative requirements.

  • To perform valve identification and meet installation requirements.
  • To test devices.
  • To maintain devices.
