This workshop is designed for new community services workers in aged care, home & community care and disability work. It is also suitable for those needing to update their skills in manual handling. The workshop covers:

• Self protective behavior
• Hazard assessment
• Safe transfer methods
• Use of assistive equipment
• Use of lifting devices

Facilitator: Mark Krause.
Mark has many years experience working in the disability industry and specialises in working with people with profound intellectual disabilities, physical disabilities and those with an acquired brain injury. Mark has been teaching support workers for four years and is a Manutention Practitioner
